Creating an Immersive Video Experience at the Columbus Zoo

The RESLV team is thrilled to share a recent project that had us combining storytelling, sound, design, and a touch of wild wonder. Working with SSA Group, all for a very special partner: Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
RESLV was proud to produce a 10-minute video loop, complete with immersive sound and custom animated graphics, for Columbus Zoo’s brand-new gift shop experience. The video plays on a stunning wraparound panoramic display (think: one long, curved screen that wraps the space in motion), greeting guests with vibrant visuals that highlight the magic of the zoo and the animals that call it home.
The goal?
To set the tone for every guest walking into the shop, creating an engaging and emotional moment that connects them to Columbus Zoo’s mission before they even pick up a souvenir.

One of our editors, Molly, who worked closely on the piece, got to visit Columbus Zoo ahead of the official launch to see the full installation in person. The screens? Even more impressive up close. The energy? Tangible. And the walk to the gift shop? Full of charm.
On her way, Molly locked eyes with the cutest red panda you ever did see and got to take in the sprawling layout of the park through their beautifully designed map system. 
From ideation to final delivery, collaborating with SSA Group to help Columbus Zoo was a true privilege. Their team brought clear vision, creative openness, and a shared commitment to creating something meaningful for guests of all ages.
We’re grateful to have played a small part in a big moment for such an iconic Ohio institution. We can’t wait for visitors to experience it for themselves!
