From Harbs to Starbs: Traveling with RESLV for the Cradle of Coaches
June 17, 2026
by Cooper Wood, Multimedia Specialist at RESLV
April marked my official first anniversary with the RESLV team. After a year full of traveling, strategizing, and creating content, one thing has become very clear: this business moves at a relentless pace.
Take this two-week stretch in the Spring alone. The RESLV team captured Coach John Harbaugh in New York, then headed to the opposite coast to film Starbucks CEO, Brian Niccol, in Los Angeles. As a Multimedia Specialist and Production Assistant on set, I’ve been right in the thick of it, and that’s exactly where I want to be.
But my growth over the past year goes far beyond managing gear or editing timelines. I’ve come to realize that digital marketing, creative strategy, and content creation aren’t really about deliverables or assets at all. At their core, they’re about people!
So, where does a shy guy who grew up in the backyard of Graceland fit into all of this? What does growth look like for someone whose communication and networking skills are developing to match their shooting or post-production abilities?
Well… It’s looked like a year of firsts.
The past 12 months have pushed me out of my comfort zone in ways I never could’ve imagined. And in the spirit of finding my voice, it felt like the right time to reflect.
As a lifelong football fan, traveling across the country to capture footage for RESLV’s Cradle of Coaches documentary with Miami University has been surreal. When I was a kid, I dreamed of being a Denver Bronco. By high school, that dream shifted toward becoming a filmmaker. Fast forward to 2025, and there I was, on a film crew, working across from Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton.
I mean… come on.
But the real win wasn’t just being in the room. It was the handshake. The conversation. The chance to connect, even briefly, with someone operating at the highest level. And those moments haven’t been rare.
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredible people across video, advertising, film, and sports. And each interaction was grounded in the same uplifting, genuine energy that I’ve been craving as a young artist who values collaboration above anything. If there’s one mindset I’m committed to carrying forward, it’s this: be a student first.
At the end of the day, I really just want to be a sponge. I want to soak up every piece of advice, every story, every lesson I can from the people – the TEAM – around me. Not just to grow as a storyteller, but so I can one day pass those same lessons on to someone else.
As for any closing thoughts after a full year at RESLV… I think Han Solo said it best:
“Chewie, we’re home.”
